Dean Wyness bagged a brace as Peterhead came from behind to thrash fellow play-off hopefuls Alloa 4-1.
Alloa took the lead in the 13th minute when Stuart Noble headed home James Lister's cross from close range. But the home side turned the tables with two goals in five minutes from Wyness and Martin Bavidge.
Wyness slammed home a Stirling Smith corner in the 22nd minute before Bavidge gave the home side the lead after 27 minutes with a 25-yard strike.
The visitors missed a golden opportunity to draw level when substitute Kevin McDonald saw his penalty saved by John Bateman after Smith had fouled David McCune in the box.
Wyness punished the Wasps in the 70th minute with his second goal of the game, heading home a Bavidge cross from 12 yards. Substitute Connor Gethins completed the route in the 90th minute, slotting home low to Alloa keeper Steven Robertson's left.
