Peterhead edge closer to titleChampions-elect Peterhead strolled to a 4-0 home victory over Montrose and stay eight points clear at the top of Scottish League Two.The game remained at a stalemate until just before the hour with Montrose more than holding their own until Ryan Strachan scored with a lob from Bryan Gilfillan's pass.It was 2-0 four minutes later with Rory McAlister bagging his 26th of the season to put Peterhead in a commanding position. An own-goal from Montrose's Richard McIntosh and McAlister's second of the match gave the scoreline gloss for the hosts who are still unbeaten at home this season and can secure promotion with a win at Clyde next week if results go their way
