Peterhead on the up
Peterhead swept aside promotion rivals Montrose 3-0 to go joint-top of the Scottish League Two table.
The first chance of the game went to Peterhead's Rory McAllister, but his weak shot failed to beat Stuart McKenzie in the Montrose goal.
Montrose's first opportunity came just before the half-time whistle when Stephen McNally fired over the bar.
As the game approached the hour-mark, Montrose midfielder Terry Masson found space in the penalty area to shoot and he was denied by Graeme Smith.
McAllister finally opened the scoring for the home side with a free-kick and the Blue Toon soon doubled their lead after Fraser McLaren beat McKenzie from six yards.
Rory McAllister scored 10 minutes from time to secure all three points for Peterhead to extend their unbeaten run to four games and put them level with Clyde at the top.
