Nine minutes into the second half, David Cox ballooned over from close range, before Rory McAllister forced home James Redman's cross to break the deadlock.
The former Brechin man was inches away from his ninth goal of the season, hitting the post from six yards in the 79th minute.
The Blue Toon secured their win five minutes later when Martin Bavidge found the top corner, to condemn the visitors to their fourth successive defeat.
