More misery for Montrose
Peterhead condemned Montrose to a fourth defeat in five games with a 3-1 triumph at Cappielow Park.
Both teams came into the game on the back of heavy defeats and it was Montrose who started the brightest.
Peterhead's Paul Jarvie kept the home side at bay early on before the Blue Toon went in front through Graham Webster after 30 minutes.
Webster saw his first effort from the edge of the box blocked but made sure with his second from 20 yards.
Montrose failed to threaten in the first half and fell further behind five minutes after the break, Ryan Strachan pouncing on a knock-down by Martin Bavidge to slot home.
Four minutes later, Bavidge helped himself to a goal. Latching onto a long ball from Ross Smith, the forward lifted his shot over Michael Andrews from outside the box.
The Gable Endies reduced the deficit on the hour, Jamie Winter setting up Martin Boyle to score from six yards.
