Peterhead off the mark
Peterhead earned their first win of the season with a 2-0 victory at East Stirling which pushes the Falkirk club to the bottom of the Scottish Third Division.
Bryan Deasley put Peterhead in front after 37 minutes, the ex-Dundee striker finishing from close range to grab his second league goal of the season and light up an otherwise insipid first-half.
And with the away side dominating proceedings early in the second half, the Shire's Stuart Beveridge brought down James Redman in the 67th minute and Rory McAllister coolly slotted home the penalty to double the visitors' lead.
The home side improved after going 2-0 down, and after a period of sustained pressure almost got one back when David Cane's header came back off the crossbar on 90 minutes.
